Allerton Bishop is partnering with a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to appoint a Head of Manufacturing Excellence based in Finland. This is a highly visible, site-level leadership role, sitting on the Site Leadership Team and playing a central role in driving manufacturing performance and operational excellence during a period of significant capital investment and transformation.
This role is suited to an experienced manufacturing excellence or operational excellence leader who can operate strategically while remaining closely connected to day-to-day manufacturing performance.
Role Overview
The Head of Manufacturing Excellence will lead the development and execution of the site’s manufacturing excellence strategy, ensuring operational performance, continuous improvement and capability building keep pace with major Capex delivery and future growth plans.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the manufacturing excellence and operational excellence strategy for the site, aligned to business objectives and investment plans.

Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, quality, engineering and supply chain using Lean, Six Sigma and CI methodologies.

Act as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, influencing decision-making and shaping site strategy.

Partner closely with Engineering and Project teams to ensure Capex investments translate into sustainable operational performance.

Establish performance management frameworks, KPIs and governance to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Coach and develop function leaders and teams to embed a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
Candidate Requirements

Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or similarly regulated manufacturing environments.

Proven background in manufacturing, operational excellence and / or continuous improvement leadership.

Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma and performance management frameworks.

Track record of supporting or leading sites through major Capex investment and transformation.

Credible leader able to influence at senior level and operate as part of a site leadership team.
