Global EHS & Engineering Manager

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing | Remote Europe

Allerton Bishop is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company to appoint a Global EHS & Engineering Manager. This is a global engineering role with responsibility for shaping and executing the company wide strategy for Engineering, Maintenance, Capital Investment and EHS across a multi-site European footprint.

The role suits an engineering leader with strong technical credibility who can operate at a strategic level while remaining close to operational delivery across complex manufacturing environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into senior operations leadership, you will own the development and deployment of group-wide EHS and Engineering frameworks. You will provide strategic oversight of Capex governance, maintenance excellence and EHS compliance across multiple countries.

  • Define and deliver the global EHS strategy, ensuring compliance with national and European legislation.

  • Own the group Capex and Maintenance strategy, including budget governance.

  • Establish and maintain engineering, maintenance and EHS standards across all sites.

  • Provide oversight of capital project delivery, contractor management and engineering governance.

  • Drive maintenance excellence and asset reliability across equipment, utilities and facilities.

  • As the Global Engineering & EHS Manager, you will lead EHS risk management, audits, inspections and incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (essential).

  • Experience operating at Manager or Associate Director level within pharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Strong background in Capex governance, maintenance strategy and capital project delivery at site or group level.

  • Solid knowledge of EHS legislation, regulatory compliance and audit readiness.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
