Allerton Bishop Search is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing and development organisation to appoint a Formulation Project Manager. As the Formulation Project Manager you will take a key role in the design, development, and scale-up of small molecule drug product projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced formulation expert to lead complex development projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead formulation development and scale-up projects across a diverse portfolio, including solid oral dosage forms (tablets, capsules), semi-solids, and powder-based products.

Act as project lead, managing timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert leading project plans and coordinating with cross-functional teams across analytical, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory functions.

As the Formulation Project Manager, you will provide technical oversight and guidance on formulation design, process optimisation, and technology transfer to GMP manufacturing.

Support business leaders with technical input in client discussions, proposals, and product development problem solving..
Candidate Profile

Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent Life Sciences. MSc or PhD is desirable.

Strong background in pharmaceutical formulation science.

Proven expertise in pharmaceutical development and scale up.

Expert understanding of small molecule dosage forms (solid oral, semi-solid, powder).

Knowledge of GMP requirements and regulatory expectations in a pharmaceutical development environment.
