Allerton Bishop is partnering with a leading international organisation as they appoint a senior European Supply Chain Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across a significant multi-country business.
Based in West Europe, this leadership role offers the opportunity to shape customer supply chain strategy, working closely with regional Supply Chain, Commercial, Operations, Finance and senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities
As European Supply Chain Director, you will:
- Define and lead European Supply Chain strategy and roadmap, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable results.
- Provide leadership across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics and Customer Service, ensuring effective end-to-end supply chain execution.
- Drive S&OP / S&OE, demand and supply alignment, forecasting, risk and opportunity management and customer prioritisation.
- Improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance and stock rotation, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Drive a strong customer-focused approach, developing supply chain solutions that improve service, customer experience and loyalty.
- Lead customer operational relationships and manage complex service and supply escalations in partnership with Commercial teams.
- Monitor and improve key Supply Chain performance measures including OTIF, service levels, logistics costs, inventory and customer-related costs.
- Oversee logistics performance, including transport, warehousing and 3PL partners, ensuring service quality and cost targets are achieved.
- Drive Supply Chain productivity and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities across warehousing, transport, inventory management and operational processes.
- Lead the adoption of new Supply Chain tools, processes and digitalisation initiatives.
- Lead and develop a sizeable, geographically dispersed Supply Chain organisation, building capability, engagement and a results-oriented culture.
- Partner with senior regional and functional stakeholders, providing clear insight into performance, priorities, risks and improvement opportunities.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an established Supply Chain leader with extensive experience operating within a large, complex and international organisation.
You will demonstrate:
- Significant senior-level experience within Supply Chain leadership, ideally within a large FMCG, manufacturing or B2B environment.
- Broad end-to-end experience across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics and/or Customer Service.
- Proven experience leading an end-to-end Supply Chain function and sizeable teams.
- Strong business and commercial acumen combined with a highly customer-focused mindset.
- Experience operating successfully within a multicultural, matrix organisation.
- A track record of building strategic initiatives, translating them into actionable plans and delivering measurable results.
- Strong experience of transformation, change management and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, networking and influencing skills, with confidence operating with senior leadership.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business insights.
- The ability to think holistically, connect the dots and balance operational detail with a long-term strategic perspective.
- A collaborative, agile leadership style with a strong sense of ownership.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally as required.
