Allerton Bishop is proud to be partnering with a global biopharmaceutical company entering an exciting phase of commercial growth.

As our client prepares for major global product launches, we are seeking a Global Logistics Director — a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and executing global logistics strategy to ensure the compliant, efficient, and high-quality movement of pharmaceutical products worldwide.

This is a rare opportunity to lead logistics, warehousing, commercial packaging operations, external logistics partners, and secondary manufacturing relationships during a significant period of scale-up and commercial expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support launch readiness for global commercial pharmaceutical products, including serialisation, validation, and artwork coordination.

  • Act as the primary operational contact for all commercial packaging vendors and 3PL partners.

  • Oversee end-to-end packaging, warehousing, and distribution activities, ensuring timely delivery of finished goods to global markets.

  • Partner cross-functionally with CMC, QA, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to ensure operational alignment with business objectives.

  • Ensure accurate demand planning and inventory management, balancing product availability, cost efficiency, and resilience.

  • Drive continuous improvement across logistics and external supply operations, enhancing performance, sustainability, and lead times.

  • Maintain deep awareness of global regulatory and industry trends, ensuring full compliance with cGMP, GDP, and regional requirements.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related discipline.

  • Expert knowledge of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including global regulatory requirements.

  • Extensive experience in global pharmaceutical logistics and/or supply chain leadership.

  • Proven track record delivering regional or global commercial product launches.

  • Experience managing external supply partners (packaging vendors, CMOs, 3PLs) in a highly regulated environment.
